With a wealth of experience performing live in bands and solo, Doughboy’s enjoyment of playing spreads to the crowd they entertain.
A Melbourne-based act featuring excellent musicians, Doughboy always give a dynamic, entertaining show. Doughboy's members include Sam Vandenberg, Sarah Tonner, Michael Allen, Joe Sorace and Sam Lukeis.
Their massive repertoire includes a vast and varied array of hits and obscurities spanning the last 50 years, and the best of today’s popular music. They work tirelessly to expand their song list to suit any occasion and crowd. From '80s theme nights, restaurant and wedding music, to party and dance sets and rocking pub gigs.
The players have performed in bands including: Things of Stone and Wood, Sam and Dan, 80s Enuff, Hot Fat, Grover, Sammy V, Ruck Rover, Plasticine, Dan Force, and Heavy Human Traffic to name a few. Doughboy has played a broad array of venues all over Melbourne, country areas and interstate.
They have been playing between four and seven gigs a week for the past five years. An energetic live act with an emphasis on entertainment, their reputation precedes them as one of Melbourne’s most entertaining and hardworking acts. The artists’ combined backgrounds in acting, live performance and music creation show in their ability to adapt to any crowd and take your requests.
